Okay, so I kept seeing the number 1888 everywhere. On license plates, receipts, clocks – you name it. It was getting a little freaky, so I decided to do something about it. I’m not usually one for “angel numbers,” but this felt… different.
My 1888 Experiment
First, I jotted down every time I saw 1888. I just used a little notepad and made a tally mark each time. I wanted to see if there was a pattern to when or where I was seeing it.
- Day 1: Saw it 3 times (grocery store receipt, a phone number on a billboard, and on the microwave clock).
- Day 2: 5 times! This is where I started feeling like it was more than coincidence.
- Day 3: Only twice, but both times were during moments when I was feeling really unsure about a big decision.
After a few days of this, I decided to dig a little deeper. I’d heard people talk about what certain number mean before, and I’m the type of person that like to research, so I did some searching online. It seemed like 1888 is often associated with abundance, financial breakthroughs, and positive change. Honestly, that resonated with me because I had been feeling stuck in a rut, both financially and in my career.

The Results (So Far)
It’s been about two weeks since I started this little experiment. And while I haven’t won the lottery or anything, some interesting things have happened. A few things have happened.
- I got a surprise freelance gig that paid pretty well.
- I had a really productive conversation with my boss about a potential promotion.
- I finally feel like I’m getting some clarity on what I want to do next career-wise.
- I reconnected to an old friend I hadn’t spoke to in over 10 years.
Maybe it’s all coincidence. Maybe it’s the power of positive thinking. Or maybe, just maybe, there’s something to this whole “angel number” thing. Whatever it is, I’m feeling more optimistic and proactive than I have in a long time. I’m going to keep paying attention to 1888 and see where it leads. I’ll definitely keep you all posted!
