Today, I felt a bit lost and decided to do a tarot reading. I wanted to try out a specific spread I’d heard about called the “Horoscope Spread.” It’s supposed to give you a general overview of different aspects of your life, just like a horoscope. I thought, “Why not?” and got started.
First, I grabbed my favorite tarot deck. It’s the one with the beautiful artwork that always seems to speak to me. I found a quiet spot in my living room, lit a candle, and played some calming music to set the mood. I took a few deep breaths to center myself and shuffled the cards while thinking about my current situation and what I hoped to gain from the reading.
Then, I laid out the cards according to the Horoscope Spread. It’s a pretty cool layout – 12 cards arranged in a circle, just like the houses of a zodiac chart. Each position corresponds to a different area of life, like self, finances, relationships, and so on. I went through them one by one, starting with the first house, which represents the self.

- Card 1 (Self): The card I drew here was the “Strength” card. This felt pretty spot on, as I’ve been trying to find my inner strength lately.
- Card 2 (Finances): This one was the “Three of Pentacles,” which seems to suggest teamwork and collaboration in financial matters. Interesting…
- Card 3 (Communication): “The Magician” showed up here, which I interpreted as a sign to be resourceful and use my communication skills wisely.
- Card 4 (Home & Family): “The Empress” appeared, indicating nurturing energy and abundance in my home life. That’s definitely a good thing!
- Card 5 (Creativity & Pleasure): I got the “Knight of Cups,” a card associated with following your heart and creative pursuits. Nice!
- Card 6 (Daily Routine & Health): This card was the “Five of Swords,” which could indicate some conflict or challenges in my daily routine.
- Card 7 (Partnerships): “The Lovers” card appeared here, suggesting harmony and balance in my relationships.
- Card 8 (Transformation): “The Hanged Man” showed up. I guess there is a change in perspective that I need to think about.
- Card 9 (Travel & Higher Learning): “The Chariot” is the card for this house, indicating a journey, either physical or metaphorical.
- Card 10 (Career): I drew the “Ten of Pentacles,” which seems positive for long-term success and abundance in my career.
- Card 11 (Friendships & Community): “The Star” card appeared here, symbolizing hope and inspiration within my social circle.
- Card 12 (Spirituality & Subconscious): The final card was “The Moon,” which suggests a focus on intuition and the hidden aspects of my psyche.
After laying out all the cards, I spent some time reflecting on their individual meanings and how they might relate to each other. I jotted down some notes in my journal, trying to decipher the overall message of the spread. It was quite a lot to take in, but I found the experience to be really insightful.
Overall, I feel like this tarot reading gave me a lot to think about. It highlighted some areas where I’m doing well and others where I might need to make some adjustments. It was a good reminder to stay connected to my intuition and to trust the process of life. I’ll definitely be doing this Horoscope Spread again in the future. It’s a great way to check in with yourself and gain a broader perspective on your life.
