Today, I messed around with that “Soul Number 3” thing. I thought I’d give it a shot, see what all the fuss is about.
Getting Started
First, I had to figure out what my full birth name was, the one on my birth certificate. I dug up that old document to make sure I got it right. Then I wrote it down on a piece of paper, nice and big, so I could see it clearly.
Number Time
Next, I used this chart I found online to match each letter of my name to a number. Every letter has a number, like A is 1, B is 2, and so on. It got a bit tricky with some of the letters, but I double-checked everything to make sure I didn’t mess it up.
- A, J, S = 1
- B, K, T = 2
- C, L, U = 3
- D, M, V = 4
- E, N, W = 5
- F, O, X = 6
- G, P, Y = 7
- H, Q, Z = 8
- I, R = 9
Adding It Up
Once I had all the numbers written down, I started adding them up. First, I added the numbers for my first name, then my middle name, and then my last name. Each name got its own total. It was a bit of a chore, but I made sure my math was right.
Reducing the Number
After I got the totals for each name, I added those three numbers together. This gave me a big, two-digit number. But for the Soul Number, you need a single digit. So, I took that two-digit number and added those two digits together. Keep doing this until you get a single digit number. For example, I first got 35. Then I added 3 and 5 together, and I got 8. But I need 3, so I tried again, and finally got 3 as the result.
Finding the Meaning
Finally, I ended up with a single digit, and that’s my supposed Soul Number. I went online and looked up what that number is supposed to mean. Mine was 3. I read through the description.
It was a fun little exercise. Whether you believe in this stuff or not, it’s kind of interesting to see what your Soul Number is and what it’s supposed to say about you. Give it a try if you’re bored sometime!
