Okay, so the other day I kept seeing the number 987 everywhere. On my coffee cup receipt, on a license plate in front of me, even on the digital clock when I randomly glanced at it. It felt like more than coincidence, you know? So, I did what anyone in 2024 would do – I Googled it.
Turns out, it’s an “angel number”. I’m not usually one for this kind of stuff, but I was curious. I started by reading a few different websites about the general meaning of 987.
Digging Deeper
Most of what I read talked about it being a sign of positive change and being on the right path. Some of it was a bit too “woo-woo” for me, talking about divine guidance and whatnot. But some of it resonated. I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately, like I’m at a crossroads in my career and personal life.
So I decided to get a little more, lets’ say, ‘active’, with this whole 987 thing.
- Firstly, I grabbed a notebook and jotted down every instance of 987 I saw for a whole day. I wanted to see if there was a pattern, or if it was really just random.
- Secondly, I decided to use it as a little reminder. Every time I saw 987, I would stop for a second and think about what I was doing, what I was feeling, and if it was aligning with what I truly wanted. It was like a mini-meditation, I guess.
The Results (So Far)
Okay, so, full disclosure, I haven’t had any major life-altering revelations yet. No angels have appeared and given me a lottery ticket or anything.
But… I’ve noticed a few things.
For instance, that I’m a lot more mindful, and that I was indeed working on projects that were not aligned with my goals.
Also, paying attention to these “signs” (or whatever you want to call them) has made me more aware of my surroundings. It is almost as if I’ve been looking at the world through different eyes.
The biggest thing, though, is that it’s pushed me to take action. I’ve actually started working on a side project I’d been putting off for months. I’ve started being more honest with myself about what I want.
Will I keep “tracking” 987? I don’t know. But for now, it’s been a fun, and surprisingly helpful, little experiment. It’s reminded me that sometimes, the answers we’re looking for might be hiding in plain sight, we just need to pay attention.
