Okay, so today I wanted to figure out what “93” means. I’d seen it popping up here and there, and honestly, I was clueless. So, I decided to do a little digging.
My ’93’ Exploration
First, I opened up my browser. My go-to is usually Google, so I typed in “93 meaning”.
The results were a bit of a mixed bag. I saw some stuff about numerology, some references to a French department, and even some urban dictionary entries. It wasn’t super clear right away.

I scrolled through a few pages, clicked on a couple of links that looked promising. One was about Thelema, which I’d never heard of before. Apparently, “93” is a kind of greeting or shorthand used by followers of this… philosophy? Religion? Still not 100% sure.
I read that it has something to do with the Greek words “Thelema” (Will) and “Agape” (Love), and how their numerical values, when calculated using something called isopsephy, both add up to 93. Pretty wild, huh?
I also found out that people use it as a quick way to say “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law” and “Love is the law, love under will”. That’s a mouthful, so I can see why they’d shorten it!
I also found some references to a rapper named “93”.Maybe this is some kind of code?
So, after a bit of internet sleuthing, I think I’ve got a basic grasp of it. It’s more than just a number – it’s a loaded phrase with some history and specific meaning to a certain group of people.
It’s kind of cool how much you can unpack from just two digits. I definitely learned something new today!
