Okay, so, I tried out this weekly tarot spread thing, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a ride. I’ve always been curious about tarot, but I never really got into it, you know? It felt a little too out there for me. But, I figured, why not give it a shot? I mean, a little guidance never hurt anyone, right?
So, I went and bought a deck online. Nothing fancy, just a basic Rider-Waite deck. When it arrived, I cleared off my dining table, made sure I had some peace, and got down to business. I’m not gonna lie, I felt a little silly at first, shuffling these cards with all these pictures on them, but I went with it.
I used a simple seven-card spread that I found online. Each card is supposed to represent a different day of the week. I laid them all out in a row, face down. Then, one by one, I flipped them over and tried to figure out what the heck they meant. I mean, some of them were pretty obvious, like the card with the happy couple. That’s gotta be a good sign, right?

- Monday’s card was the “Ten of Cups” – which is a pretty good card, all about family happiness. Made sense, had a nice chill day with the fam.
- Tuesday threw me “The Tower” – yikes, sudden change, disruption, the whole nine yards. And guess what? My boss called a surprise meeting and shook things up at work. Coincidence? Maybe.
- Wednesday was “The Star” – hope, inspiration, feeling good. I actually felt pretty motivated and got a lot done.
- Thursday had “The Hanged Man” – being stuck, seeing things from a different perspective. I did feel a bit indecisive that day.
- Friday gave me “The Lovers” – relationships, choices. Had a nice heart-to-heart with my partner that night.
- Saturday was “The Chariot” – willpower, determination, moving forward. I finally tackled that cleaning project I’d been putting off.
- And Sunday? “The World” – completion, success, feeling whole. It was a really relaxing day, felt like a good end to the week.
I kept a little notebook and jotted down what each card was and how I thought it related to my day. Some days, it was a bit of a stretch, but other days, it was kind of scary how accurate it felt. Like, seriously, how did these cards know I was going to have a massive fight with my sister? It’s probably all just my brain trying to find patterns, but still, it’s a little freaky, right?
After a full week, I looked back at my notes and realized that this whole tarot thing, it’s not really about predicting the future. It’s more about giving you a framework to think about your life. It’s like, these cards are just prompts, you know? They make you reflect on what’s happening, what you’re feeling, and what you want to do about it.
So, am I a tarot convert now? I don’t know about that. But I did find it to be a really interesting exercise. It’s a different way to tap into your own intuition and maybe get a little clarity on things. I might keep doing it, just for fun. It’s definitely a conversation starter, that’s for sure! Who knows, maybe I’ll even get good at it someday. For now, I’m just happy I tried something new and got out of my comfort zone a little.
