Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “angel reading cards” all over my socials, and I finally caved and decided to give it a shot. I’m not super into this stuff, but hey, why not, right? I’m all about trying new things.
Getting Started
First, I ordered a deck online. There were so many options, but I went with one that had pretty artwork and good reviews. I figured, even if the readings are nonsense, at least the cards will be nice to look at, haha.
The Ritual
When the cards arrived, I waited until I had some quiet time. I lit a candle (because, atmosphere), put on some chill music, and spread the cards out on my coffee table. Honestly, it felt a little silly, but I tried to get into the spirit of things.

I followed the instructions that came with the cards. I shuffled them while thinking about a general question I had about my life, then I laid out three cards face down. The instructions said to turn them over one by one and consider what they might mean.
My Reading
- Card 1:This card was supposed to represent my past. It showed an image of a woman looking serene, with some keywords like “peace” and “reflection”. Okay, I can kind of see that relating to my recent attempts to be more mindful.
- Card 2: This was the present card. This one depicted a bird flying free and some words about “new beginnings”. I’m actually in the process of looking for a new job, so that felt surprisingly relevant.
- Card 3: The future card. This one had a picture of a shining star. “Dreams coming true,” and “keep your eyes on it.” It was pretty good, but it will be even better if I could realize it.
The Takeaway
So, did I have some profound, life-altering revelation? Not really. But it was a fun little exercise. It made me think about my current situation and my goals in a different way. And the cards were genuinely beautiful. Will I do it again? Maybe. It’s a nice way to spend a quiet evening, even if you’re a skeptic like me.
