Okay, so I kept seeing the number 306 everywhere. On license plates, receipts, clocks… it was getting a little weird. I’m not usually one for “signs,” but this felt like more than a coincidence. So, I started a little experiment.
My 306 Experiment
First, I jotted down every instance I saw 306. I grabbed a small notebook and just kept it with me.
- Day 1: Saw it on a bus number, then again on a coffee shop receipt. Total: 2 times.
- Day 2: This is where it got interesting. I saw it on a billboard, then twice more while waiting in line at the grocery store (once on a price tag, and again on someone’s phone). Total: 3 times.
- Day 3: Only once, on a digital clock. I actually felt a little disappointed! Total: 1 time.
- Day 4: Back to multiple sightings! A street address, and then the number of likes on a social media post. Total: 2 times.
- Day 5: Saw it at work and that made me decide to search the web for the meaning.
I felt like I tried to do a little more, so during these days, I also tried to be a little more mindful. I paid more attention to my surroundings, listened to my gut feelings a bit more, and just generally tried to be more “present.”
I don’t know the explaination for it, but it made me feel like I was on the right track, somehow. Like maybe I was being nudged in the right direction.
Honestly, I’m still not sure what it all means, but the experiment itself was pretty cool. It forced me to slow down and notice things I usually wouldn’t.
