Okay, so I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while now, mostly just for fun and self-reflection. I’m no expert, but I find it interesting. Today, I was feeling kinda stuck on a decision, so I pulled a card for a simple “yes” or “no” answer. The card I got? Seven of Wands, reversed.
First, I grabbed my deck and shuffled it a few times, just trying to clear my head and focus on the question. It’s a pretty straightforward question, so I didn’t use any fancy spreads, just a single card pull.
When I flipped the card over and saw it was the Seven of Wands reversed, I felt a little… deflated, to be honest. I already knew the general meaning. I remember that before, upright, this card is all about standing your ground, defending your position, and having courage. But reversed? It usually means the opposite.

So, I started digging a little deeper. I have this tarot guidebook, I opened the guidebook I have and started reading.
- I learned that the reversed Seven of Wands can indicate feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and like you’re losing the battle.
- It can also suggest giving up too easily, lacking the willpower to fight for what you want, or feeling like your defenses are down.
Putting It All Together
Based on my question and the reversed Seven of Wands, I’m taking it as a pretty strong “no,” or at least a “not right now.” It feels like the universe (or my subconscious, or whatever) is telling me that I’m not in the right position to push forward with this decision. Maybe I’m not prepared, maybe I’m lacking the necessary energy, or maybe I’m just plain tired of fighting for it.
It wasn’t the answer I was hoping for, I realized that. I decided to sit with it for a while. I’m not going to rush into anything. This card pull definitely gave me something to think about, and I think that’s the whole point of tarot anyway – to offer a new perspective and help you tap into your own intuition.
