Today I wanted to mess around with making some press cards, the kind you see in movies or TV shows. I’ve always thought they looked pretty cool, so I figured, why not try to make some myself? I decided to base them on the “Saturn” theme, just because I like the name and the planet.
First, I spent some time doing a little research to see what actual press cards look like. I looked at tons of examples online to get a general idea of the layout and information they usually include. Most of them have a photo, the person’s name, their organization, and some kind of ID number.
Then I fired up my image editor. I’ve gotten pretty good with it over the years, but I’m no expert. I decided to create a simple template that I could easily customize for different cards. I picked a basic rectangular shape and started playing around with different fonts and colors. I wanted something that looked official but not too boring. I went with a clean, sans-serif font for the main text and a slightly bolder one for the names.
Next, I needed some photos. I found some royalty-free images online that I thought would work well. I made sure to choose pictures that were clear and had good lighting. I resized them to fit the card template and adjusted the brightness and contrast a little to make them look more professional.
After that, I added the text. I made up some names and organizations, just for fun. I also added a fake ID number to each card to make them look more authentic. I played around with the spacing and alignment until everything looked just right.
Once I had a few cards made, I decided to print them out. I used some thick cardstock paper so they would feel more substantial. The printing process was pretty straightforward. I just had to make sure the cards were properly aligned on the page.

The final result was better than I expected! The cards looked pretty legit, if I do say so myself. It was a fun little project, and now I have a few unique press cards that I can use for whatever I want. Maybe I’ll start carrying one around just for kicks. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually need a real press card. Until then, these Saturn press cards will do just fine.
