Okay, so, I tried out this 11 card tarot spread thing today, and let me tell you, it was a trip. I’m not really a tarot expert or anything, but I figured, why not give it a shot? It seemed interesting, you know?
First off, I had to find a quiet spot in my house. That’s harder than it sounds with the kids running around, but I managed to lock myself in the bedroom for an hour. Peace at last! Then, I got my tarot deck out. It’s this cool, old deck I picked up at a flea market a while back. I don’t even know what kind it is, but the cards are all worn and feel kinda magical, in a way.
I spent a good chunk of time just shuffling the cards. I wanted to make sure they were good and mixed up, like a good stew, you know? I cleared my mind as best as I could, tried to think about the stuff that’s been bugging me lately, and just focused on the cards.

Now, laying out 11 cards is a bit of a process. I followed a diagram I found. It is kinda hard to find a picture that actually describes what it is, and finally, I found one. There’s a card in the center, which is supposed to be the heart of the matter, and then there are ten other cards surrounding it in a sort of circle pattern. Each position means something different, like hopes, fears, advice, all that jazz.
- Center Card: The main issue.
- Card 1: Past influences.
- Card 2: Present situation.
- Card 3: Future developments.
- Card 4: The querent.
- Card 5: Others’ influences.
- Card 6: Hopes and fears.
- Card 7: What you need to know.
- Card 8: Obstacles.
- Card 9: External influences.
- Card 10: Outcome.
I laid out the cards one by one, flipping them over and trying to figure out what they meant. Some of them were pretty straightforward, but others were a bit cryptic. Like, I got the Tower card as an obstacle, and I was like, “What’s that supposed to mean? Is my house gonna fall down?”
After staring at the cards for a while and scribbling down some notes, I started to see some connections. I saw how my past actions are tied to what’s happening now and how that might affect my future. I know it sounds a bit out there, but it felt like a light bulb went off in my head, seeing these patterns laid out in front of me.
Interpretation
Honestly, the whole thing was a bit of an eye-opener. I wouldn’t say it solved all my problems, but it gave me a new perspective on things. It made me think about my situation in a way I hadn’t before. Maybe there is something to this tarot thing after all.
I took a picture of the spread and put it away for the day. I figured I’d come back to it later and see if it made more sense after some time had passed. All in all, it was a pretty cool experience. I’d say it’s worth trying if you’re into that sort of thing or just curious about tarot.
