Zodiac Card Meanings: Unlock Secrets of Your Star Sign.

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make one of these zodiac cards for a while, you know, those cool cards with the constellations on them? I finally got around to doing it, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.

Getting Started

First, I had to figure out what I wanted on the card. I mean, there are twelve zodiac signs, so I had to decide if I was doing all of them, just one, or a few. I went with just my sign, Cancer, to keep things simple for my first try.

Gathering Supplies

Next, I had to get my stuff together. I’m not a huge crafter, so I didn’t have much on hand. I grabbed:

Zodiac Card Meanings: Unlock Secrets of Your Star Sign.
  • Some dark blue cardstock paper, it feels like night sky.
  • A white gel pen, because normal pen does not show on dark paper.
  • A ruler and pencil, I am bad at freehand drawing.
  • Some star stickers I found at the craft store, just a little bit of bling.

The Drawing Process

This is where things got a little tricky. I looked up a picture of the Cancer constellation online. Then I very lightly sketched out the basic shape with a pencil on my cardstock. Took a few tries to get it right, erasing very carefully, lots of squinting at the paper. Finally, I started to do the final sketch on the paper.

Once I was happy with the pencil outline, I went over it with the white gel * gel pen was a bit messy, to be honest. It kind of glopped in places, so I had to be careful not to smudge it.

Adding the Finishing Touches

After the gel pen dried (that took longer than I expected!), I added some of those tiny star stickers around the constellation. I thought it gave it a nice touch, you know, made it look a little more, sparkly.

The Final Result

It’s not perfect, obviously, but it’s mine. I learned a lot, like how to be patient with a gloppy gel pen and that even simple projects can take a while. I’m thinking of trying another one, maybe Leo next time. We’ll see, For now, I’m pretty happy with my little Cancer card.
