2 of Wands Love Advice: Is It Time to Take the Leap?

2 of Wands Love Advice: Is It Time to Take the Leap?

Okay, so yesterday I pulled out my tarot deck for a bit of introspection, focusing specifically on what the cards might tell me about my love life. I’ve been feeling a bit stuck, you know? Like, things are fine, but could they be…more? That’s where the Two of Wands came in.

I shuffled the deck, focusing on my question: “What do I need to know to enhance my current romantic situation?” After cutting the deck, I drew the Two of Wands. This card, with its imagery of a person holding a globe and looking out at the horizon, always seemed to speak about potential and looking beyond your current circumstances.

My immediate thought was, “Am I too comfortable?” I mean, my relationship is good. We get along, we have fun, but are we really pushing ourselves to grow together, or are we just coasting?

I laid out the card and next to it I drew The Star for more clarification. The Star, a card of hope and renewal. This combination really got me thinking. It felt like the cards were saying, “Yes, things are stable, but there’s a whole world of possibilities out there if you’re willing to take a chance and really decide what you want. But remember to have hope, things will arrive.”

  • I spent some time meditating on these two cards.
  • What new experiences could we bring into our relationship?
  • What shared dreams have we not yet explored?

Reflecting on Timing

Something I always like to check with the Two of Wands is the timing aspect. Here, it was number 2 which I interpreted as 2 weeks or 2 months. Then, I also pulled the Lovers card, the 7th card, for clarification. This suggested a focus on connections and maybe a decision or significant event relating to my relationship in the coming months. With 7, I feel it means the 7th week or month. But I think I should focus more on 2.

I started to jot down some ideas – maybe a trip we’ve always talked about but never planned, or perhaps it’s time to have that conversation about our long-term goals. It felt a bit scary, but also exciting. The Two of Wands was pushing me to step out of my comfort zone, and The Star was there, a gentle reminder to stay hopeful and positive about what the future might hold.

So, my plan now is to initiate a conversation with my partner. Not a heavy, serious talk, but more of an open, exploratory discussion about what we both envision for our future and how we can actively work towards it together. I’m a bit nervous, but mostly I’m excited. It feels like this could be the start of a new chapter, one where we’re not just passively existing together, but actively creating a shared life that’s fulfilling and dynamic.

I’ll keep you all posted on how it goes. Maybe next time I consult the cards, I’ll have some interesting updates to share. Until then, I’m going to embrace the message of the Two of Wands and step boldly towards the potential that awaits. Wish me luck!
