5 of Coins Yes or No How to Interpret This Card in a Yes or No Reading

Today I tried something new. I pulled out a tarot card called the “5 of coins” to see if it could give me a simple “yes” or “no” answer to a question I had. It’s a bit of a weird thing to do, I know, but I was curious.

I started by shuffling the deck, just like any regular card game. Then, I focused on my question, it’s a personal one, no need to get into details. I picked a single card from the deck, and there it was, the 5 of coins. It’s got a pretty sad-looking picture on it, I noticed that right away, to be honest, I did not like it.

Looked it up online, since I’m no tarot expert. Turns out, this card usually means “no” when you’re asking a yes or no question. It talks about loss, which felt relevant, and difficulties, which I admit, my question was about a tricky situation.

What I Found

  • No Easy Answers: The first thing I learned is that tarot cards aren’t really meant for simple yes or no questions. They’re more about giving you a general vibe or something to think about, kind of.
  • The 5 of Coins Isn’t Cheerful: This particular card, the 5 of coins, is all about tough times. It represents material loss. Yeah, not exactly what you want to see when you’re hoping for a positive answer.
  • A “No” with a “But”: Even though the 5 of coins usually means “no,” it’s not a definite, end-of-the-world kind of no. It’s more like a “no, and here’s why it might be tough” kind of deal. I guess that’s something, right?

So, I didn’t get the clear “yes” I was maybe hoping for, but I did get a new perspective on my situation. It made me think about the potential downsides, which is always a good idea, even if it’s not fun. I guess this whole tarot thing is more about making you think than giving you straight answers. It was an interesting experiment, at least!
