Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with tarot cards lately, just for fun, you know? And I got this idea to try a simple yes or no question with the Five of Coins card. I heard it’s usually a “no” card, but I wanted to see for myself.
First, I grabbed my deck and shuffled it real good, thinking about my question. I was wondering if I’d get that new job I applied for. I know, I know, the Five of Coins isn’t really about jobs, more like money troubles, but hey, a new job means more money, right? So I figured it was close enough. Plus, there is saying about losing something you highly valued, which can be a job of course.
Anyway, I laid out the cards face down and picked one. And guess what? It was the Five of Coins! My heart kinda sank for a second because, like I said, it’s usually not a good sign. I mean it is about losing resources and losing security, which is scary.
Trying to stay positive
- I flipped the card over and stared at it for a while.
- The picture on it is pretty depressing, two people walking in the snow, looking all sad and poor.
- But then I remembered that sometimes cards can have different meanings depending on the question and the other cards around them.
So I decided to pull a few more cards to see if they could give me more clues. But they weren’t much better. Lots of swords and cups, which usually mean conflict and emotional stuff. Not exactly what I wanted to see when asking about a job.
After staring at the cards for a good ten minutes, I gave up. It just wasn’t looking good. The Five of Coins kept screaming “no” at me, and the other cards weren’t helping. Also, I thought about the reversed position, which is another bad sign of losing things.
My conclusion
So yeah, my little experiment didn’t go as planned. I guess the Five of Coins really is a no card, at least when it comes to job prospects and money related questions. But hey, it was still fun to try. Maybe I’ll stick to reading for friends from now on and avoid asking about my own future. At least for a while. Oh well, time to hit the job boards again, I guess!
