So, I got into this whole “Le Mat Tarot” thing today, and let me tell you, it was a journey. I’ve always been curious about Tarot, but never really took the plunge. Today, I decided, why not? Let’s give it a shot.
First off, I had to, you know, actually get a deck. I didn’t have one lying around, obviously. So I went online and found a pretty standard Rider-Waite deck. Nothing fancy, just the basic stuff. Figured it was a good place to start.
Once the deck arrived, I was like, okay, now what? I didn’t really know any spreads or anything, so I just started shuffling the cards. Just getting a feel for them, you know? It was kind of weird, but also kind of cool. Like, there’s some history in these cards, and I’m just here, holding them.

After shuffling for a bit, I decided to pull a single card. Just one, to see what it would say. The card I got was, fittingly, “Le Mat” – The Fool. It shows this guy, stepping off a cliff, not a care in the world. I looked up the meaning, and it’s all about new beginnings, taking risks, and trusting the universe. Pretty wild, right?
I spent some time just staring at that card. Thinking about what it could mean for me. I mean, I’m not about to go jump off any cliffs, but the idea of taking a leap of faith, trying something new… it resonated with me. Especially, I need to let myself go sometimes, like this card shows, then maybe I can find a new view for my life.
Then, I figured, let’s try a simple spread. I found this three-card spread online – past, present, future. Seemed easy enough. I shuffled again, focused on a question I had in my mind, and laid out the cards.
- Past: The card I pulled was Reversed Ace of Swords. From what I read, it suggests that I need to make decisions cautiously. And I do have some issues with making decisions.
- Present: The card I pulled was Ten of Pentacles. Man, this is the card I want. Family, happiness, money, and success. I want to have a good life and do everything for my family.
- Future: The last card is The Sun, which made me feel so good. It represents optimism, success, and vitality. This is such a good card, I know that my future will be bright.
Honestly, the whole experience was surprisingly insightful. I didn’t expect to feel so… connected to the cards, I guess. It’s like they were giving me a little nudge, telling me to loosen up, trust myself, and embrace the unknown. Pretty cool for a deck of cards, huh?
I’m definitely going to keep exploring this Tarot thing. Maybe learn some more spreads, dive deeper into the meanings. It’s like a whole new world opened up, and I’m excited to see where it takes me. Who knows, maybe I’ll even become a pro at this someday!
