Okay, so, today I’m going to talk about the “nine of swords as a person.” It all started a few days ago when I was messing around with my tarot cards. I’m not a pro or anything, but I like to see what the cards have to say. Anyway, I pulled the Nine of Swords, and it got me thinking, “What if this card represented a real person?”
So, I started digging around on the internet, you know, like we all do when we get curious. I stumbled upon some forums and articles about the NieR: Automata game. I have played that before but not quite get the meaning inside. And there was this whole thing about characters named 2B and 9S. I read that 9S is this super positive, upbeat kind of guy. He’s the type of person who always looks on the bright side, even in tough situations. But, and this is a big but, people also say he’s got this internal conflict going on, some kind of love/hate thing with 2B. Sounds messy, right?
Then I start thinking about the Nine of Swords, which usually represents anxiety, worry, and nightmares. It got me thinking about how a person like 9S, so positive on the outside, might be dealing with a lot of internal turmoil. They might be the type to put on a brave face but struggle with a lot of doubts and fears on the inside.

I also read that “death is the final stage of growth and development.” I am not quite sure whether I understood it or not. I mean I guess that is true. In the game, 2B and 9S have to face death countless time. Cheerful!
To bring it back to the tarot card, I started imagining someone who embodies the Nine of Swords. This person might seem strong, even aloof, on the outside. They might be successful, have a good job, and appear to have everything together. But underneath all that, they’re battling their inner demons. They’re constantly overthinking, worrying about the future, and maybe even struggling with insomnia or nightmares.
Here is what I imagine a “Nine of Swords” person to be like:
- Appearance: They look tired all the time. Maybe they have dark circles under their eyes from lack of sleep. They might dress in dark colors, reflecting their inner state.
- Personality: On the surface, they seem calm and collected, maybe even a little cold or distant. But inside, they’re a nervous wreck. They overthink everything and are always worrying about the worst-case scenario.
- Behavior: They might have trouble sleeping. They might be prone to panic attacks or anxiety. They might isolate themselves from others, fearing judgment or misunderstanding.
- Relationships: They might have trouble forming close relationships. They might push people away, fearing that they’ll get hurt. Or, they might become overly dependent on others, seeking constant reassurance.
So that’s my take on the “Nine of Swords as a person.” It’s just a fun thought experiment, but it’s interesting to think about how tarot cards can represent different personality types. It is even more interesting if we combine the tarot card with some real character in a game or movie. It really makes you think about the people around you and what they might be going through under the surface.
Anyway, that is all I got for now. Just want to write it down and share it with you guys.
